Guard and Grace

Guard and Grace is an upmarket steakhouse with many food options including steak, seafood, and even pasta. Mile High Dining and friend loved having the many choices including small sized steak options of 4 oz. At first we were seated at a table that made us sit about 5 feet apart and with the extra loud music, we couldn’t hear each other, so we bolted to sit at the bar counter. The restaurant is crowded and loud, so find a quiet area to sit.

We enjoyed four of the five dishes: salad, dumplings, gnocchi, and steak. The 1/2 wedge salad with lots of blue cheese was good and crunchy. The half serving of the salad is more than enough. The dumplings filled with A5 Wagyu beef were delicious and warm tasting. The gnocchi was soft and had a good pasta taste. The grilled carrots were the one disappointing dish as they were undercooked.

The 4 ounce Wagyu steak and the 4 ounce Australian filet were both the best dishes of the evening. Each steak was so tender and favorable.

The bartender even surprised us with chocolate cookies and a little pour of espresso coffee after she treated my friend to a free mini-martini.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Guard and Grace is Very Good.
