Pig and Tiger is a Taiwanese restaurant which received the Bib Gormand award from Michelin for good quality and good value. The words Pig and Tiger are the Zodiac signs for the co-owners and co-chefs. Mile High Dining concluded it is authentic Chinese as it serves Baijin liquor, so I had a sip.
As for food, Mile High Dining and friend shared three appetizers and a main dish. The Pig and Tiger salad with pressed tofu fries and chili vinaigrette was a little too spicy for an opening dish, although we both liked it. The chili wontons filled with shrimp and pork were delicious and it was my favorite dish of the evening. General Tso’s squash was squash cut in a doughnut pattern and mixed cauliflower was quite different and a good flavor, especially with the added extra chili jar.
The entrée was the fried chicken with a bowl of rice and a side of orange hot honey. It provided a very good finish to our meal as the chicken was very tender and with the honey lots of different flavors are presented.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for the Pig and Tiger is Very Good.
