Mizuna- a pig roast

Off to a pig roast, Southern style, at Mizuna on a Sunday afternoon. It was hosted by a young chef from Louisiana. Mile High Dining and friend even arrived by Waymo, the driverless ride share.

The pig roast was presented like a picnic where you select the side dish and roasted pig by yourself. The side dishes had a salad, mac&cheese, green beans, jambalaya with chicken, cornbread. The main dish was a whole pig that was roasted overnight for 12 hours. Beignets and strong coffee finished the picnic.

The only good side dish was the green beans with pork. The salad looked good but the tomatoes were tasteless. The first plate of pig was soft, tender, and delicious. The second serving of pig was disappointing as the skin was too tough and not crispy.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Mizuna – a pig roast was It’s OK.
