Beau Jo’s has been serving pizza at their original location in Idaho Springs since the 1970’s. It’s speciality is a thick crust where you pour honey onto it to finish your pizza.
Mile High Dining and friend drove to the top of Mount Blue Sky and enjoyed a late lunch sitting outside after a scary drive to the mountain top. The city of Idaho Springs closed Main Street and it’s now filled with seating for restaurants and bars and with lots of flowers.
As for pizza, we choose the small mountain pie with the house red sauce, sausage, olives, and mozzarella cheese. The pie is good while pouring honey all over the crust made it fun to finish!
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Beau Jo’s Pizza at Idaho Springs is Good.
