Paperboy

Mile High Dining and friend went to Paperboy for a brunch. One of the few times I ate out at brunch time in years. Paperboy originated in Austin Texas and Denver is one of its only outposts. The restaurant can seat about 75 inside plus a small outdoor area. It’s open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week.

The menu has a definite touch of southern food with items like chicken and biscuits and Texas hash. We tried the avocado tost-ada, blueberry, pancake, and the lox plate. First, the avocado tost-ada is served on a toasted corn tostada. It was covered with cabbage and carrot strips sitting on the avocado. It’s good tasting, but difficult to eat with all the shredded cabbage. The lox plate with pickled beets, salmon lox, and rice was much better as the lox were delicious. The shared blueberry pancake was tops, especially with the extra blueberries. It is served with warm maple syrup and is very flavorful.

The drawback at Paperboy is the loud background noise from the many diners talking loudly like it’s a sports bar.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Paperboy is Good.
