Ash and Agave just opened in the Cherry Creek Mall. It’s inspired by the coast of Mexico and it’s centered around a woodfired grill. It’s the sister of a nearby restaurant, Blue Island Oyster Farm. Ash and Agave has a good looking feel with a beautiful bar and a large hanging lamps over the seating area.
My friend and I shared the grilled carrots and grilled oysters to start. The carrots were extra small, but with the green cashew lime sauce it provided a good sweet flavor. The grilled oysters were better as the Chiltepin (pepper)butter provides a little spicy kick.
I was going to order the enchiladas, but deferred after learning the dish had three enchiladas, too much for me. Therefore, we each had a salad. My friend had the salmon salad, and the salmon fish was very good as it was very tender and had a light fish flavor. I had the Riviera salad with roasted chicken, goat cheese, corn fritters, and avocado. It’s a good salad.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Ash and Agave is Good.
