A new upscale Chinese restaurant opened in Denver, Blossom. It’s bright and shiny inside with outdoor seating to enjoy the noise of the neighborhood. We enjoyed the noise outside as it was less than the indoor noise.
The food and drinks were good and one dish presentation was excellent. I had the bamboo breeze drink with a beautiful flower to start the meal. The first dish of black truffle pork dumplings was delicious, especially with the added sauce with extra ginger. Dish two was the Szechuan Wagyu tartare not only looked good, it tasted good with the extra spicy flavor.
The one disappointing dish was the softshell crab as the crab was too dry and tasteless as the breadcrumbs dominated its flavor.
But the dish of the evening was the lychee shrimp pearls with a great presentation of fog flowing everywhere. Even the lychee fruit was good and it was awarded the presentation of the year.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for the Blossom is Very Good, if you forget the soft shelled crab.
