After driving to various places, such as Idaho Springs and Broomfield to enjoy a meal, Mile High Dining walked to Sweet Ginger. It’s a neighborhood sushi and Asian bistro restaurant. Entry is down steep steps through the outdoor seating area. Mile High Dining sat at the chef’s counter to watch the sushi chefs work.
I enjoyed the bluefin tuna with ginger sauce. The six pieces of tuna sit on top a slice of avocado with ginger sauce. A good and healthy start to the meal. Next, two different sushi items of smoked salmon and salmon toro were selected. The four fish with rice with a touch of wasabi and ginger were good and refreshing.
Crispy calamari with chili sauce was a good finish to the meal. The calamari is breaded and fried and presented on a bed of spinach with fresh orange slices.
In summary, we enjoyed the good sushi dishes but sadly the service was slow and the premises are somewhat boring.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️⚖️ for the Sweet Ginger is Good.
