Silvia

Mile High Dining and family visited the Catskill Mountains in New York and ate at Sylvia in Woodstock. It wasn’t the location of the famous concert but close. The three of us enjoyed the outing, especially after a lengthy drive on narrow mountain roads.

Sylvia has a large selection of foods. We shared four starters, oysters, pita bread, kale salad, and smoked beets. All four were good, well the warm woodfired pita bread was tops as it was presented with lots of softened butter.

One had the local mushroom and pasta rags which is a pasta dish covered with lots of mushrooms and asparagus. I had the plate of scallops with corn purée and lots of whole corn kernels with small greens sitting on top. The third dish was the chicken schnitzel, which was very tender with a great crispy outside. It was served with green beans and shallots.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Silvia is Good.
