Dia de los Meurtos

Mile High Dining attended the celebration, Dia de los Meurtos, in Southwest Denver. It’s a Hispanic tradition to celebrate the lives of deceased loved ones and enjoy life itself. It was held on a closed main street, Morrison Road, with a live music stage, food trucks and lots of gift sellers. Off to the side of the street there were replica graves and altars to show respect for loved ones.

As for food, I enjoyed a giant size Mexican beer and a pork burrito. The only size beer available was 32 ounces, so I limited myself to just several sips. The burrito was delicious especially after adding the avocado sauce.

Next year, check out this Spanish holiday, Dia de los Meurtos.
