Hapa has 4 locations in the Denver area and Mile High Dining chose Cherry Creek. About 2 years ago it was moved to this better street-level location with lots of outdoor and indoor seating. It’s not as expensive as the Sushi Den but just as good.
Mile High Dining went overboard and ordered 9 dishes for the three of us. We started with a bowl of seasoned edamame with salt and a spicy sauce. And easy dish to start a meal.
The Kanpachi Crudo had seven large pieces of Kanpachi sashimi sitting in kimchi and chive oil topped with jalapeño and mandarin orange slices. Although they were difficult to pick up with chopsticks, they were worth the effort. The fish with peppers and orange slices were delicious.

The Pittsburgh roll with salmon, cucumber, and cream cheese is named a beginners role. It was very tasty with the salmon and cream cheese. This role is also known as the Philly rule but who eats sushi in Pittsburgh.
Another vegetarian role was the asparagus caterpillar roll with sweet sweet sauce
Ume shisho maki is plum and shiso leaf
The ruby red room is avocado wrapped in tune with onions in poke sauce
The XXX roll is Hamachi, avocado jalapeños seared in an olive oil base
The last dish, sashimi combo has nine different fish and seafood items and an excellent presentation.
