Kawa Ni

Kawa Ni is a Japanese styled pub that encourage you to stay and enjoy a drink and food. After driving right by the restaurant, Mile High Dining found the pub that sits elevated from street level. I visited with a friend and to start the drink menu had over 50 options which was overwhelming, so I had to ask our server for help to select a sake.

The restaurant encourages diners to share plates. We selected five plates starting with the Hamachi. It’s presented with a citrus juice and sweeteners. It made it a great tasting slice of fish. Then we tried the addictive cabbage and Szechuan dumplings. The dumplings had a spicy flavor that overwhelmed the pork meat flavor. Meanwhile, the cabbage with citrus juice is good.

The last two dishes, crab fried rice and kimchi udon noodles filled our little table as they are large in size. Both had a good presentation, but it was too much food delivered at once to enjoy.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Kawa Ni is Good.
