Mile High Dining and two friends ate at Cart Driver Lohi, which was the former home of one of my favorite restaurants, Z Cuisine. Today, Cart Driver LoHi is a trendy pizza shop with woodfired pizza, oysters, and natural wines. Even the sourdough for the pizzas is made in house.
We enjoyed the packed house with customers and extra loud noise! Since the building was built in 1890 there’s a lack of sound dampening products. Nevertheless, it’s a fun place. As for food, we shared three plates, oysters, risotto, and pizza. The oysters were served broiled with a crunchy topping of chili crisp, cheese, and breadcrumbs. They were great tasting. The pomegranate risotto with pomegranate seed and brie cheese was also good. The mushroom pizza with lots of roasted mushrooms, red onion, and extra sausage was delicious as the mushrooms provided the extra flavor.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Cart Driver LoHi is Very Good.
