Cimera is located atop the Source Hotel with spectacular views of the city. We will be back this summer as it opens to the balconies in warm weather. As for food, it’s pointed towards a Peruvian theme with a touch of Mexico. There is an indoor parking structure but one must follow a maize to reach the restaurant.
The two of us shared three dishes, family style which is recommended. We started with the Peruvian ceviche, which has white fish, red onion, lime, and chilies. The dish is a good starter as the fish with the extra charred potatoes add a good light taste. The second dish, papa Rellena, is a potato formed into a ball and then deep-fried, which makes it quite crunchy. Definitely a different way of enjoying a potato.
Our main dish was the filet con Hongos. The steak is served steaming hot to the table with lots of mushrooms and onions sitting in a Mezcal cream sauce. It was warm and a good and tender steak. A little scooper that’s provided allows you to sweep out all of the onions, mushrooms, and sauce.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Cimera is Very Good.
