The Brinkerhoff

Mile High Dining and friends ventured south to Castle Rock to check out Brinkerhoff. It’s a large and fancy Mexican steakhouse with sushi being available. It’s operated by the family that started the La Loma restaurant on W. 26th Ave. in Denver. The Brinkerhoff is extra large in size with a huge bar coming into play this summer.

As for food, it has many options from expensive steaks, burgers, salads, sushi, and desserts. We started with artichokes, salad, salmon, sushi, and a French dip. First, the grilled artichoke had a great flavor, but it was small in size. The Brinkerhoff wedge salad with blue cheese was maybe the best dish of the evening. It’s extra large and has a very good taste due to the cheese. The French dip sandwich was rated average. My woodfired salmon with mashed potatoes and undercooked broccolini was also rated good but not great. Finally, the tuna roll sushi helped saved the food evening and was given a very good rating for taste and extra large in size.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for The Brinkerhoff was Good. The spectacular building exceeds the food and it’s recommended to show up early to enjoy the beautiful sunset views!
