Narrative

After our planed dinner in Golden was canceled due to the wind storm, Mile High Dining and neighbors went to the Narrative. It’s a large and bright space focusing on American dishes. The menu covers burgers, fish, chicken, steak, and pork options. We didn’t plan on a dessert, but my friends loved the sticky toffee pudding.

We shared the shrimp cocktail, which had a beautiful presentation of tiger shrimp with Verde sauce, surrounded by lettuce. The shrimp covered with the sauce were very good.

For entrees, we had salmon, scallops, and pork. The king salmon with cranberries and brussels sprouts was rated very good. The meat dish of a pork shoulder with potatoes and kale had a good crispy texture and it was flavorful.

My dish of the scallops with butternut squash and parsnips was good. The butternut squash sauce tasted like a good fall flavor, but it dominated the delicate taste of scallops. Additionally, service was a little slow and lacked a friendly approach.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent .

The verdict ⚖️ for the Narrative is Good.
