Mile High Dining and a good friend went to 3 different restaurants and sat at the bars to enjoy food and drinks. Just to be safe we walked to avoid any driving. A fun holiday challenge! The restaurants were: Saltwater Social, Broadway 10, and Alteno and we had no reservations.
At Saltwater Social we had the fried calamari and drinks. The calamari was just okay as it was undercooked and lacked a crispy texture. My watermelon wave drink was much better.
The next restaurant was Broadway 10 where we had to beg for 2 seats as it was crowded at the bar. The food order of crab cakes easily won the best dish of the evening. The cakes were filled with large pieces of crab and had little filling. Just don’t order the jalapeño haze drink as it is extra spicy.
The final place was Alteno which has a small bar and had to wait for 2 seats together. While waiting we could order a drink but no food as they have a policy everyone in the group must be seated. Finally, we selected the roasted sweet potato and it was a good choice to share. Mean well our 2 drinks were just average.
It was a fun evening for the Holidays!
