Mile High Dining visited friends in Dallas, TX and we had diner at the Cafe Pacific. The restaurant is an institution in Dallas as it’s been around for over 40 years. Not only does the restaurant serve seafood, there are many meat dishes including Colorado lamb.
We started with a dish of shared calamari with cocktail sauce and lemon tartar for dipping. A good starting dish. I had the grilled Texas Gulf red snapper. The fish was grilled and presented with rice, sliced avocados, small cherry tomatoes, and a corn sauce. Good but lacked flavor. The Big Glory Bay King salmon dish was paired with carrots and green beans. The salmon had a much better fish flavor than the red snapper!
The Signature Prime pepper steak is served with a cognac sauce and crispy French fries. The steak was very tender and with the added sauce it had a good solid taste.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Cafe Pacific is Good.
