A Halloween parade made the entry to the decades, old Chinese restaurant, Imperial, a struggle. When we arrived, others were complaining about the traffic. Nevertheless, Mile High Dining and friend enjoyed a classic Chinese meal.
First, I had a Baijiu which is a strong liquor made from sorghum or rice. It was too strong for me. The house Jasmine tea was better.
We shared the steamed chicken dumplings with a small bowl of soy sauce. The chicken was juicy and tender.
The main dish of Kung Pao chicken with a bowl of white rice was delicious. Not spicy enough for me, but my friend thought it was mild and great tasting. The chicken and vegetables made us forget the parade traffic. Service was a little off. For example, my fork was removed, and I had to ask for a replacement.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for the Imperial is Good.
