Osteria Marco is a causal Italian restaurant. Mile High Dining and a friend loved visiting Larimer Street and checking out all the new stores. Osteria Marco is one of the oldest establishments on Larimer if not the oldest as it’s been there for about 20 years.
We sat in the main dining area which is the basement. Just after we arrived, the place filled up with dinners. We ordered a Caesar salad and burrata cheese to share and each ordered a separate pasta dish. When the salad and cheese arrived, we were overwhelmed by the extra large size. The salad had several anchovies which added a good flavor. The burrata cheese with the slightly grilled bread was also good.
My friend had the pesto Campanella pasta which was rated just average as it was too plain tasting. My wild mushroom fusilli was much better as the sliced mushrooms were slightly sautéed which set my dish out above average.
Overall, the extra large size of the dishes were overwhelming. The server easily packaged the extras in small boxes and two bags to carry home.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Osteria Marco is Good.
