Shanahan’s Steakhouse

Off to dine at a steakhouse, Mile High Dining and two others ate at Shanahan’s Steakhouse. I had not been to a steakhouse in years, so we picked an upscale one. It starts with valet parking and $6000.00 for a bottle of wine. I’m not kidding as the house has several“ Screaming Eagle” bottles.

Shanahan’s has a beautiful bar and lots of hushed table seating. Also displayed are the many awards Mike Shanahan, the former football coach, has received. They’re located right by the hostess station and next to a wall of wine bottles.

The three of us each had the smallest 7 ounce fillet of steak with shared side dishes. We started with the scallops wrapped in bacon. The scallops were delicious while the wrap of bacon was just OK. The steak fillets were cooked as requested and presented on a very hot plate. A very good steak taste. The side dishes of roasted carrots and mashed potatoes were also rated good and well done.

We finished with a healthy dessert, berries with a side of heavy whipped cream. I also forgot, I had the “Shanny”pineapple martini. An excellent name and great to look at, but too sweet for me.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Shanahan’s Steakhouse is Very Good.
