Braddock Public House

Another evening in Pittsburgh, we ate next to the political hot potato, the US Steel foundry. The Japanese steel company, Nippon, is trying to buy US Steel. Nevertheless, we ate at the Braddock Public House, which is just across the street from US Steel. Once inside the restaurant, you order at the bar and it’s delivered table side, similar to some British pubs.

One had a burger with macaroni salad, and a beer, another had the kielbasa plate, and Mile High Dining had the pierogies, roasted carrots, and a beer.

Delivery of the food was weak as the server had a hard time handing out the plates and remained silent. The Aloha burger with macaroni salad was given a good grade. The kielbasa was okay but nothing special. The sweet potato pierogies and roasted carrots lacked flavor, especially the pierogies. I did enjoy my beer, General Braddock named after a soldier from the American-French war.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for the Braddock Public House is Good as the aloha burger and the General Braddock beer saved the day.
