After the Denver Nuggets basketball losing game, I treated myself to Chinese food. MAKfam is a small restaurant made up of mostly countertop seating. MAKfam was awarded the Bib Gourmand from Michelin for good quality and good value food. That is impressive for the husband and wife owner/chef team that started as a pop-up in New York City.
I enjoyed the Chinatown dumplings that had chicken, chives, and a small bowl of soy sauce. The dumplings reminded me of prior trips to China. The dumplings were especially good when dipped into the soy sauce.
The other dish was stir-fried greens. The greens were cooked by stirfry with garlic added. Not spicy at all but a good healthy dish. I don’t ever recall any stirfry salads in China.
It’s a fast causal Chinese restaurant where you order at the counter and you pay in advance. The food is delivered to your table to enjoy.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for MAKfam is Good.
