The weather was sunny and warm to enjoy the newly opened Schoolyard Beer Garden. It’s in the historic Evans school just south of the Art Museum. The building has been vacant for over 50 years and now it’s been remodeled and it’s good inside and out. There are lots of beer and food options with over 5000 ft.² of outdoor seating. A café serves coffee in the morning and wine in the evening.
We tried three different local craft beers paired with a salad, brat, and a burger. The green goddess salad with chicken was forgettable. The schoolyard burger with sweet potato fries was very good. The Colorado brat with french fries also was good. It’s a burger and beer place! Enjoy a cold beer and sit outside after you wandered around the place.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
