Mile High Dining enjoyed eating at the chef’s counter at Magna Kainan. It’s a Filipino restaurant which is a first for me. The restaurant is on the ground floor of a new high rise apartment building. The space is bright and lively.
We started with a dark beer from the Philippines but it was an easy drinking style beer. The dishes on the menu have the ingredients listed in English which was very helpful.
The first dish was the bread with 2 types of butter. It was excellent and the most popular dish according to the server.
The Mom’s crab fat noodles with two extra soft shell crabs is a good winter time dish. The black noodles are house made with squid ink which explains the black color. The small chicken skewer with a light BBQ sauce was delicious and awarded the best taste of the evening!
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Magna Kainan is Very Good.
By the way, Kainan means eatery.
