Tavernetta hosted guest chef, Marc Vetri, and his 5 course dinner. Mile High Dining and 2 friends enjoyed the food and the lively atmosphere. We were seated in the lounge area and were actually introduced to chef Vetri. He operates restaurants in Philadelphia and Las Vegas and has received multiple awards from the James Beard Foundation.
The 5 dishes were scallops, pasta, gnocchi, lamb, and chocolate dessert. The pasta and lamb were excellent. The colorable pasta with bites of chicken liver and parmigiana cheese was very favorable. The Colorado lamb was the best dish as it was very tender and the pistachios and anchovies provided extra crunch and taste.
The chocolate dessert won the best presentation award. The scoop of vanilla gelato mixed well with the rich chocolate souffle.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for the Tavernetta Guest Chef Marc Vetri’s dinner is Excellent.
