Poulette Bakeshop

We were excited to visit the Poulette Bakeshop in Parker as it has received national awards. The New York Times listed it as one of the best 22 bake shops in America. Then, the James Beard Foundation nominated it as one of the best bake shops.

Poulette is a take away bakery with only enough room for four people to stand and order. When I left, there was even five customer standing outside in 19° weather awaiting entry.

As for baked goods, the selection is large. I had two everything bagels, two butter croissants, two maple pecan danishes, and one cream puff. I shared the goodies with my neighbors. One neighbor described the bagel as the best ever. The croissants are Paris style as they are flaky and fall apart when you take a bite. The cream puff and the danish were rated excellent.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for the Poulette Bakeshop is Very Good. The drawback for me, it’s located 25 miles away.
