After an afternoon at the Denver Art Museum to view the special exhibit, Where the Wild Things Are, we had a lite meal at The Ponti. The restaurant is mainly a lunch place but it is open two evenings per week on Tuesday and Friday to match the Art museum’s schedule.
When we entered The Ponti around 5:30 it was almost vacate so the staff greeted us with energy. The menu has lots of options from salads, main entrees, and desserts.
I had the trout and avocado ravigote which is crispy phyllo( paper thin ) filled with herb yogurt and trout topped with baby greens. It was light and delicious. My friend had the Tuscan kale soup with lots of bread. A good dish for a cold evening.
We shared the grilled cheese sandwich. The half sandwiches were presented on a two separate plates with a side of arugula salad. The fontina and goat cheese with the sourdough bread was tasty. Sadly, I was missing mustard as none was presented.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for The Ponti is Good.
