Kobe An

On a very cold evening, Mile High Dining ventured out to Kobe An. It’s a sushi restaurant with several Japanese food options. It’s dry January so I enjoyed the hot tea after walking several blocks away to find a parking space.

I enjoyed the karate, Japanese fried chicken. Essentially, it’s bite-size dark meat of the chicken and deep fried. It was OK. The best dish was the spicy California roll with tuna and avocado. The eight rolls were especially good with the added sauce and ginger. The third dish was saba, which is mackerel. The large slice of fish is placed upon white rice. The fish is very soft and almost has a sweet taste. Different and good.

I wish I would’ve been told or knew about the dish called Shaba-Shaba. It’s a Japanese hot pot dish, with thinly sliced meat and vegetables cooked table side. It would have been a good dish for a cold evening.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for the Kobe An is Good.
