We enjoyed a new upmarket restaurant in Cherry Creek, Le Colonial. It’s Vietnamese food served in a lovely setting with palms, murals and lights. The restaurant has several other places in the US but new to Denver. The food and wine options cover several pages in the menu.
We shared 2 small plates and a salad among the three of us. The chilled shrimp rolls and the crispy veggie rolls were tasty especially when you used the dipping sauce. The green papaya salad with carrots and cabbage was a new and fun salad.
The two main dishes were also shared. The black cod easily won the best of the evening as the delicious fish was sitting in a sauce covered with all kinds of vegetables. The spicy chicken stir fry was also good. The side dish of wok greens was good and healthy as it was essentially broccoli.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for the Le Colonial is Very Good.
