Mile High Dining and others went to Blue Island Oyster Bar- Lone Tree. It has a great patio area and lots of free and plentiful parking compared to its sister restaurant in Cherry Creek. We sat outside and enjoyed the summer weather in spite of occasional raindrops.
Three main orders were selected, lobster roll, sea scallops, and salmon. The jumbo lobster roll had 6 oz of lobster with a side bowl of coleslaw. It was given a very good rating including the coleslaw.
I had the sea scallops and shrimp sitting on a large bed of risotto. The scallops and shrimp were delicious but sadly the risotto was just so-so as it was too gluey.
The last dish was the grilled salmon with asparagus and potatoes looked great but the salmon was not cooked to order. It was requested to be well done but arrived severely pink and raw. It had to be corrected.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Blue Island Oyster Bar- Lone Tree is Good. The rating is less than expected considering the price but there were issues with 2 of the 3 dishes.
