Osteria Alberico

Mile High Dining and my neighbor went to Osteria Alberico, the newest Italian restaurant in Denver. It’s part of the Frasca Hospitality Group. The restaurant is causal without the white table clothes but fancier than a pizza shop.

The food menu and wine listing are extensive covering everything from pizza to expensive wines. We had a green summer salad, pizza, ravioli, and bread. I even started with a non alcoholic cocktail.

The salad had mixed greens with buffalo ricotta cheese. It’s a simple summer green salad. Good and refreshing as it was so hot outside. The mushroom pizza had a touch of cheese with the mushrooms. It’s Italian style and not covered by tomato sauce and meats.

The lobster raviolis with sweet corn were delicious. Easily the best dish of the evening. Even the small tomatoes were slightly cooked and melted in your mouth. The side of focaccia bread with olive oil and vinegar sauce was too plain.

I finished the meal with a touch of grappa which made me feel like I was back in Italy! Additionally, we enjoyed the good service.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Osteria Alberico is Good.
