Wok Spicy

3 of us went to Wok Spicy, a new Chinese restaurant. We were looking for spicy and good-tasting Chinese food and found it. Although the physical appearance of the place is plain, the food is spicy.

Each started with a Chinese beer, Tsingtao, which a very light beer. The 4 dishes were shared family style. The wontons in chili oil were plain in both texture and taste. The 3 main dishes saved the evening.

The dry pot of lotus root was very spicy while a sip of beer helped. The pot is set over a small burner to keep the heat going.

The Chongqing chili chicken was crispy good and sitting in lots on lots of peppers and spice. The last dish was the mapo tofu. I enjoyed the taste but I difficulty in picking them up with chopsticks.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Wok Spicy is Good.
