Potager

Mile High Dining and son went to the Potager restaurant. Potager is 27 years old and was one of the first farm-to-table restaurants in Denver. In fact, the potatoes on one dish came from the parking lot garden. If you like local summer vegetables head to the Potager and sit outside.

We started with a small bottle of apple cider made in Aurora. Fermented like prosecco, it was good and light.

The four vegetable dishes were shared. The main plate called gargouillon has lots of veggie options including potatoes, broccoli, radishes, and eggplant. A good summer plate. The small dish of blistered tomatoes in thyme oil was delicious. The tomatoes just melted in your mouth. The smashed cucumber salad was just okay while the pole beans with pickled cabbage, blue corn muffin, and smoked ham plate was very good.

For dessert, the Eton mess had Colorado cherries with cream and toasted meringue was very good.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for the Potager restaurant is Very Good.
