Mile High Dining and a friend went to the Hive Garden Bistro at the Denver Botanic Gardens. It was a free day but it was not crowded. We were able to find a table overlooking the water at Monet Pond. Although it was very hot outside the shade from the trees made it pleasant.
I ordered the Pollinator salad and an iced tea. The salad had mixed greens with honey-smoked salmon, blueberries, walnuts, and feta cheese. A great summer salad. The iced tea comes only flavored which was disappointing.
My friend had the veggie burger with house-made chips. The patty is plant-based and comes with cheese, tomato, onion, and lettuce. It was rated only as good. I tried several of the chips and found them to be crispy and extra good.
Enjoy an evening at the Botanic Gardens and sit outside at the Hive Garden Bistro to enjoy the food and the flowers.
