Mile High Dining and others went to the African Grill and Bar. It’s owned and operated by a husband and wife team from Ghana, Africa. They started the restaurant in northeast Denver but recently moved it to the west side of town. The menu features many pictures of the African dishes but it’s a little overwhelming, so the server was a big help.
We shared two main plates and a small appetizer of plantains with peanuts. The coconut lamb with fried plantains had delicious and flavorful lamb. The other main dish was the sea bass with plantain fufu. The fish was good but was lost in the tomato stew and the fufu which was a little too much.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for the African Grill and Bar is Good. It is suggested the menu be modified with less pictures and more details of the food.
