Comal Heritage Food Incubator

Mile High Dining and 3 others went to a fundraiser for the Comal Heritage Food Incubator. It is a restaurant training program for immigrant women. Currently, it operates a lunch counter serving Latin American dishes Tuesday through Friday. But on a prior visit it was Syrian food.

About 150 folks attended the fundraiser on Saturday evening and we sat outside. The food was buffet style with an open bar. To help raise money there were many items to bid on from upscale restaurants meals for 6 diners to bus passes to help the ladies to get to the training. For entertainment we even played Lotería which is Mexican style bingo for prizes.

My buffet dish included white rice with veggies, chicken, chips with guacamole, and a salad. The food was very good especially the two types of chicken.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for the Comal Heritage Food Incubator is Very Good.
