Mile High Dining and two others went to Alma Fonda Fina, an upscale Mexican restaurant for Cinco De Maya. The restaurant was in the news as the owners were sued by a competing restaurant claiming they violated a non-compete contract. Good news for Alma Fonda Fina as the lawsuit was settled and they are open for business.
The food options are definitely classy as you can even order scallops and other fancy dishes. We enjoyed the signature avocado margarita, quacomole, chicken enmoladas, Callo De Hacha (scallops), and Carne Asada with NY strip steak. All the plates were prepared Mexican style.
The dishes were all given a very good award as each had a little touch of spice and great flavor.
The only drawback was the lack of any desserts or coffee to finish the meal. Since there was no coffee I ordered a mezcal with a touch of grilled and ground-up crickets, yes crickets!
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Alma Fonda Fina is Very Good.
