Two of us on a windy Saturday afternoon went to the Leven Deli. It’s a deli, bakery, and wine bar. The place was filled with customers and everyone loved getting out of the wind. The deli has traditional deli items while the wine bar has a wall of wine bottles. The pastrami is both cured and smoked in house. Even the breads are baked in-house.
I had the pastrami Reuben sandwich and my friend had the avocado toast. The pastrami Reuben sandwich has lots of meat, cheese, and cabbage on rye bread. It was juicy and very favorable. The side of olives were just okay especially when you had to pay extra for them.
The avocado toast with a side of potato salad was rated good. The avocados are smashed and paired with cucumbers and pickled onions sitting on toast. The potato salad was given a better rating.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
