Mile High Dining and a friend walked to the Hapa Sushi Grill in Cherry Creek which was extra enjoyable not to be driving. Hapa Sushi has 4 locations including one in Boulder where it all started years ago. Hapa is Hawaiian which means it is a blend of Asian and American food and cultures.
We had Hamachi, rolls and shared a small plate of dumplings. The Shumai dumplings have steamed shrimp with a colorable presentation of carrots. Tasty.
The Colorado Hamachi is sushi style fish with jalapeño peppers on top. A touch spicy but they were delicious. I paired the fish with a raspberry infused sake. A good choice.
The Rainbow rolls had sushi sitting on top of rice rolls. The rice itself was excellent but I would have loved a bigger piece of fish.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
