Wolf’s Tailor

Mile High Dining and a friend went to the Wolf’s Tailor, a Michelin Star restaurant. I had previously reviewed the restaurant 5 years ago just after it opened. It’s operated by the group that has another Michelin Star at Bruto and 2 other restaurants, Basta and Hey Kiddo.

Wolf’s Tailor serves a multiple-course chef’s menu dinner. Additionally, you pay the full price in advance when you reserve your table. It’s not a large place so reservations are a necessity.

We started with a small appetizer which had a delicious fresh oyster with a little chile flavoring. The next dish was their homemade bread which was maybe the best of the evening. The scallop dish was presented with a sauce that overmatched the tender scallops.

The main dish was the wagyu beef from Texas. It was disappointing. Although it had a good mushroom topping and the beef had good flavor, it was too tough.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for the Wolf’s Tailor is Very Good. Overall the service and presentation of each dish were tops, but the 2 dishes of scallops and wagyu beef were disappointing.
