Mile High Dining and friend went to the newest Japanese restaurant, Kumoya. The restaurant has a bright and pretty interior. We sat at the sushi counter and loved watching the chiefs work. The restaurant is part of Culinary Creative group which includes everything from Aviano coffee to Mister Oso.
I started with a nonalcoholic drink to continue my dry January and my neighbor had a Saki. We shared the large bowl of the fried rice. Yakimeshi. The rice looked good but needed more vegetables to add extra texture and flavor as it was too dry!
My friend had the duck, Kamo, which was presented with a warm temperature and a very tender taste. A good choice.
I selected sushi, the six piece Nigiri Omakase which had a beautiful presentation and a very good taste of 6 different fish. Definitely the hit of the three dishes. I enjoyed it even more after watching the chef assemble the dish.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Kumoya is Good.
