Mile High Dining joined the trend to not drink any alcohol during the month of January. First , my neighbor and I went to Local Jones to enjoy nonalcoholic drinks and another night I went to Forget Me Not.
At Local Jones my neighbor had the Starve the Apothecary which has juniper, lemon, and honey. It had a great light lemon flavor. The added grilled lemon slice on top made it look like a real cocktail. I had the classic virgin margarita and it tasted like a real one.
Two days later I went to Forget Me Not and enjoyed the Green Machine. It was delicious and made with alcohol free gin, lemon and ginger. A paper thin roll of cucumber sat on the top. Clearly the best non alcoholic drink so far.
With 3 1/2 weeks left in the month Mile High Dining looks forward to the challenge of a dry January.
