Mile High Dining and a neighbor went to the remodeled Casa Bonita after months of waiting! The new owners are the creators of South Park and the musical Book of Morman. To visit one has to register online and wait for their invite. The place is entertainment first and food second. Really, the food has greatly improved from years ago.
You have 7 main dish options and we chose the Carnitas Tacos and the Taco Salad. The slow-cooked pork with green chile sauce was good tasting. The side of beans and rice were forgetful while the pork with the slaw made 3 good tacos. The Taco Salad had added carnitas and not only looked good it was very tasteful. Just remember to raise the red flag to get the Sopaipillas!
After the food, the fun begins. The cliff diving occurs every 20 minutes and is the highlight. The live music performers included a single guitarist to a small band. The puppet show was where I was stopped from filming. Also there is a gift shop. Remember it’s loud but definitely worth the evening visit.
