Mile High Dining and another, the owner of the Coach Prime Mobile, went to Ras Kassa’s, an Ethiopian restaurant. First, you have to learn to eat with spongy bread (injera) as there are no eating utensils. Secondly, remember the food is spicy.
I had the Farmer’s Cheese with tomatoes. The rolls on injera bread are used to scoop up the cheese and tomatoes. The cheese was very good tasting. The other small plate was the chicken skewers. We knew had to eat them.
For the main dish, I had the red lentil vegetarian with carrots and greens. It was good and spicy and I learned how to use the bread utensil. The other main dish was the combination of spicy lamb and chicken. It was definitely spicy but the spongy bread helps.
We each had the Abyssinian hot tea which is infused with khat, a mild stimulant. My friend finished with a beer from Ethiopia.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Ras Kassa’s is Good. On the way out I said thank you in Ethiopian (ameseginalew) to the ladies and received a good hug!
