Lucile’s Creole Cafe

Mile High Dining and two others went to Lucile’s Creole Cafe on a warm Saturday afternoon. Lucile’s has 7 locations from Ft. Collins to Littleton. We ate outside at the Logan St. location. Two of us started with the Cajun Bloody Mary and one had an Upslope lager.

I had the Cajun-style grits and red beans. They are topped with 2 poached eggs and hollandaise sauce and a large buttermilk biscuit on the side. The grits and beans were very mild tasting while the eggs added some flavor. I had to add hot sauce to help the grits.

The other 2 dishes were the “Andy Boy” and the “Crom”. The Andy Boy is an Andouille Sausage Por Boy sandwich with peppers and onions with a green side salad. The “Crom” was Andouille Sausage with lots of cheese and grits and potatoes with a side biscuit. These two dishes were rated good.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict ⚖️ for Lucile’s Creole Cafe is Good. Nothing jumped out as outstanding but it’s a popular place for Creole food.
