Mile High Dining attended the celebration of Ethiopia. It was located in Northwest Denver with live music, clothing and food stalls. We learned that over 35,000 Ethiopians live in the Denver area, making them the second largest group of immigrants.
I enjoyed a large plate of lamb, corn, carrots, string beans, and lentils. One uses the soft Injera bread that holds the food together to eat with rather than utensils. Just remember the napkins as I struggled.
Since coffee originated in Ethiopia, I had a sip and purchased a bag of Ethiopian coffee. Also, I could not resist buying honey from Ethiopia.
It was quite an educational and fun afternoon.
