Cholon @ Central Park

Mile High Dining and neighbor went to Cholon, a modern Asian restaurant. It was a lovely summer evening so we sat outside. The inside is very nice with a beautiful wood ceiling. Cholon translates to “big market”. The menu has a variety of Asian foods from sushi and dumplings and even Malaysian noodles.

I started with a Snow Monkey ( a slurry with rose wine and Ketel One ). My friend had a prosecco. We shared three dishes. First, the crab and cheese Rangoon purses were light and cheezy. They were summertime delicious!

The other light dish was the Tempura Zucchini sticks. They were long slices of breaded zucchini and then fried. They lacked any flavor and were hard to eat with chopsticks. The side of breaded fried lemon slices was good.

The main dish of Malaysian noodles with added shrimp was hot and spicy. The noodles had bean sprouts and scrambled eggs. The shrimp were too small to enjoy but the dish was large enough for two to share.

My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.

The verdict for Cholon @ Central Park is Good.
