The original Cherry Cricket is 78 years old and they finally opened a branch in the suburbs. Mile High Dining went to the newly opened Cherry Cricket – Littleton. The restaurant has seating indoors for more than 400 and an extra large patio (Burger Garden) seating 100! On a Saturday afternoon, the place was packed with patrons.
The Cherry Cricket specializes in allowing diners to choose toppings for their burger or chicken sandwich. About 40 different toppings are available from cheeses, chilies , salsa, and even mac and cheese. Other dishes includes salads, soups, and Mexican tacos. Drinks include everything from beer, wine, cocktails, and boozy shakes.
I had the grilled chicken breast sandwich with pepper jack cheese, Chile strips, and salsa. It was very good. Sadly, the side order of tater tots lacked any flavor.
My ratings are: It’s OK, Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
