Mile High Dining and 2 others went to the first Thai restaurant in America which is located in Denver. Chada Thai was founded in the early 1960s and survives today. It’s a small place but with an outside patio. You order at the counter but the food is delivered to your table. We ordered 4 dishes to share amongst us. They were Som Tum, Larb, Pad Thai, and Kee Mao. Be careful as the dishes can be very spicy.
The Som Tum is a salad with tart papaya, beans, and peanuts covered with a spicy chile dressing. Good but a little too spicy! Next, is the Larb which is the national dish of Laos. The dish is made of ground chicken or other meat, lemongrass, red onions, and lime juice. Ours was served with lettuce leaves to hold like a taco. The Pad Thai is stir-fried noodles, peanuts, tofu, and bean sprouts and all are fried. Clearly, the national dish of Thailand. The Kee Mao ( Drunken Noodles) has rice noodles, chiles, chicken, broccoli, soy, and fish sauce. We enjoyed the 3 main dishes.
My ratings are: It’s OK , Good, Very Good, and Excellent.
The verdict ⚖️ for Chada Thai is Good. The accommodations are lacking but the food is good and reasonably priced.
